Broccoli Salad

This delicious Broccoli Salad is easy to prepare ahead of time! Perfect for a BBQ or potluck as a simple side dish!

Serves: 8 servings
For Salad:
  • 2 large bunches broccoli, chopped (a total of about 6 cups chopped broccoli)
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • crispy cooked bacon (5-6 slices), crumbled
  • For Dressing:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  1. Place salad ingredients into a large serving bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the salad ingredients, and mix well, to combine. Cover bowl and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours. (I think it tastes BEST if you refrigerate it overnight. The longer it chills, the flavors come together even better!
  3. Serve, and enjoy! Keep leftovers refrigerated!
May substitute slivered almonds for sunflower seeds, if desired.
May substitute dried cranberries for raisins, if desired. They look good if you make this salad around Christmas time!
