In a large mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Repeat two more times. Do not skip this step (sift dry ingredients 3 times in total))
Add vegetable shortening. Use a pastry blender to cut the shortening into the flour mixture. Continue to cut in the shortening until it becomes the texture of very small crumbs.
Store this baking mix in an airtight, covered container in the refrigerator! The mix will keep for up to 4 months, when stored properly in a refrigerator. When you want to use it, pull the container out of the refrigerator; Use the amount of mix needed when a recipe calls for Bisquick.
